- Burn candle on heat safe surface.
- Allow your candle 4 hours for the first burn to prevent your candle from tunneling in the future.
- Trim wick before every lighting. This reduces mushrooming and controls the size of the flame.
- Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches, and debris at all times.
- Keep the candle away from drafts as they can decrease the burn time of your candle and cause uneven burning, smoking, and diminish the scent throw.
- Don't burn your candle all the way down. Stop burning when there is 1/2 inch of wax remaining to prevent overheating the glass jar.
- Extinguishing candle: Use a candle snuffer or use a wick dipper to dip the wick into the melted wax and then straighten, this prevents smoking.
- How to handle soot - Extinguish the flame and wipe your vessel with a clean and damp cloth once cooled. Then trim your wick and relight the candle.
